The 7th Boot Camp FLY "Goal Through Perseverance- Cycling Tour de Scotland 2019”
We are a group of Hong Kong tertiary students from UOW College Hong Kong. Following the footsteps of our seniors and starting our new adventure, this Tour de Taiwan & Scotland is a student-led and managed as a semester-end no credit-bearing project.
Since 2013, Tour de Taiwan has been a challenge in our college. We hone raw talent to maturity with quality coaching, primal workouts and a true love of the sport. Teamwork, perseverance, sportsmanship - those are the hallmarks of Tour de Taiwan & Scotland.
Also, in its 7th year, this project has two additional features: the sponsorships of Junior Chamber International, UNESCO and Friends of the Earth have been secured to make it eco-tourism related, AND the learning of English language and UK education, social and culture. Scotland is chosen for its eco-tourism, costs, safety, language learning, local support from and exchange with Edinburgh Napier University staff and students. A change from Taiwan is requested by students and alumni, and receives overwhelming response.
As a graduation adventure, this project aims to inspire and instill in participants a sense of discovery, external and internal, while they learn to persevere and persistent in reaching goals, and so later in life let self-pride direct them, fortitude support them, self-confidence chasten them, and vision be the guide of their actions. We hope to these challenges make good students better.
